Wellesley Resort Fiji

Wow, absolutely Amazing! If you are looking for a quiet resort to relax in peace and quiet, in a beautiful location with everything you need, this is the place to be. I stayed a whole week and absolutely loved every minute of it. Don't expect to be entertained or have much to do here, you come here for peace, a quiet atmosphere and relaxing. They do offer snorkeling equipment and kayaking free of charge. And there is a village closeby for some local cultural experiences. The rooms are good and clean and quiet and all have outdoor seating. The gardens and the views are beautiful/amazing everywhere you look. The pool is the place to relax, or on the patio near the beach. The staff make this place a home away from home. Veti, Leisa, Vaisa, Ima and Mary are so wonderfull, they look after you with great care. The chefs, William and Raj are exeptional good chefs and the food (incl any dietary needs) is very tasty and creative, loved every bite! And Saki who brings you fresh coconuts from the garden during the day is a delight to have around. I travel a lot and for the price-what you get, this is an amazing catch/gem! I really had an amazing stay here and can recommend it to anybody looking for paradise. Hope to be back one day!

Beautiful grounds and great access to the beach

The access road was extremely rough. Some facilities and services lacking such as there wasn’t a pair of kayaks available due to disrepair.

Staff were great. Location was awesome. Food was outstanding but make sure you order early. Wifi variable but supergood in the restaurant as there is Starlink there. Quiet haven run very well by the staff. Vinaka.

Weather but that is up to God. Maybe he is responsible for mosquitoes too!

Staff at Wellesey were very nice and friendly. The food was actually good and comparable if not cheaper in price to larger resorts. Beautiful, lush, tropical grounds. Beach is very close and on a nice day, would be stunning. We were one of the lucky ones that had internet in our rooms, which was life saving when nothing else to do. Continental breakfast was delicious with pastries and fresh friut. Main pool well maintained

Why are there so many good reviews? It is not a 'resort', yet you're paying those sort of prices. - For the price, rooms are dated and bathrooms poor. We booked for a 4 nights stay and left after the third night, only then was housekeeping offered. - There is NOTHING to do when it is poor weather. Beach is incredibly tidal and when raining, you go stir crazy. Walked down beach to Crusoe's Retreat to get a drink and change of scenery. Nearest 'shops' (which is only a diner and supermarket, is 30 minutes away) - We were the only people staying one night which felt eeire. Staff asked to serve us our dinner in our room so they didn't have to serve us in restaurent. - You have to book dinner is advance. Never in my life have I been to a resort and been asked to book my meal 4 hours out - Road to access Wellesey needs serious work and maintenance. - In our three nights, two power cuts. I think this is a common things but they say 'just going to get generator'... - Private pools are dirty. Bugs on top with a filter that is very questionable whether it works or not.
