Maria's B&B

The property is a converted centuries-old traditional farmhouse, built from local limestone. It has been lovingly restored, with great attention to detail in retaining its vernacular features. The accommodation I was allocated was a triple, with private bathroom. I loved being able to have working space in the adjacent comfortable lounge, where I could, after a swim in the pool, use my laptop undisturbed. The swimming pool was lovely and fresh, the breakfast was mostly home-made and generous, the host attentive to any requests or queries that I had. Even the fellow guests were pleasant company. I trust a place such as this attracts those who come to unwind, attentive to the privacy of others and discreet in their conversation.

Could not fault it.

Spacious rooms. Spotlessly clean. Great breakfast and very helpful staff. Lovely swimming pool with adequate sunbeds. Excellent value for money.

Location means car required although Ubers easy to find.

Lovely authentic property, well maintained with lots of seating areas and a lovely pool. There was the option of freshly cooked items for breakfast as well as cereals, homemade cakes and tarts, fruits and yoghurts. If you have some mode of transportation then you’re not far from Victoria, it is walkable, hubby walked there and back on one of his early morning walks. There are areas without pavements though, so do be careful.

Just the noise from the corridors as the doors were difficult to lock/unlock and the large iron keys clanked in the locks. The keyhole was also large so we had to hang something over it when in bed as it was directly opposite the bed. Hubby was worried someone would be looking through the keyhole lol.

Breakfast is wonderful. Great site, pool, shared kitchen & fridge. Room was comfortable and clean. Hosts were incredibly helpful and friendly!

Some walking required to the bus stop and grocery store/restaurants.
