The calm, the site, the food,
the host and the cook eere always devoted to please us with a smile
1 We were quite shocked at the level of poverty of the local population who work so hard and get so little in return
2 That the nearby posh hotel dares burning their garbage in the open just few meters away.

This place is special! It is both close to the seeside - it has access to a nice small beach - and to the local community's village. One can appreciate the Carribian See and have a very local experience in a simple but genuine environment.
The staff is extremely kind and collaborative. They organize short boat trips around the islands, giving an inside on the bright and dark sides of living on the island.
Dahlandia is the last corner of slow and low impact tourism in an area surrounded by luxury tourist facilities. Be ready for a very local experience!

Great location and beach for the guests, the manager is really cool and helpful with getting a lancha to a different island. Delicious food :) Overall it was great, just the room could’ve been a bit cleaner but it was fine!

Wonderful location by the sea and typical huts
The place is overall not well kept. Toilets where uncomfortable compared to hostel standards, rooms not clean and staff quite unresponsive. The full board is very similar from day to day.
