Most likely due to the hotel being in a converted department store / office building, layout not that logical

Conveniently close to the station, city centre, car rental offices and the U Bahn. The bed was really comfy and the aircon was a real bonus on the arrival night, as it was so hot outside. There was ample, affordable parking for my hire car inside the hotel too. Breakfast was simple, but tasty. The receptionists, cleaner and the breakfast staff were welcoming and friendly. I enjoyed a coffee on the balcony too! It's a short walk to the centre of Dortmund for a beer or dinner.
It's sited on a very busy junction, so the traffic noise never goes away, but with the windows closed, it's not an issue. The area is a little rundown, with some homeless people seen wandering about. The bathroom, whilst spotless, was a little cramped. I was expecting the complimentary water and coffee sachets to be replaced daily, but they weren't.

The location is the best part, very central and safe, the staff(and Flora the dog) were very friendly, the single suite apartment was spacious enough, clean and comfortable, the kitchen had everything
The hotel interior was a bit old fashioned and haunting😁 elevator was quite old, although the kitchen was perfect but there was nothing edible in the room( like tea, coffee, sugar, salt,…), these are things tourist don’t go buy.
The breakfast fee is a bit high in my opinion.
They didn’t have toothbrush set in the room, but provided once I asked

Standard Deluxe room is nice
I was originally in a standard room but complained about quality and also due to issues with a guest and I was immediately moved to a new room
staff were excellent after issues with guest dog barking at 1am, woke up several guests, night porter contacted the guest and seemed he was asleep in his room and was then angry about being woken up and was aggressive to me and night porter.. I was then able to move room
Standard room is not up to scratch and glad I was able to move after first night and had a much better experience in the standard deluxe room
