While the Hotel Scherer was little out of the old part of Salzburg, it was an easy 15-20 minute walk or 5-10 mins by bus, with bus stops just around the corner. This is a lovely small family run hotel with lovely staff, and the breakfast was outstanding! Hellene on reception was incredibly helpful and we enjoyed our stay. Note that you can get a free public transport pass when staying here so ask at reception and bus service is vey good.
Room was a little small but otherwise lovely.

La posizione è molto buona perchè si arriva in centro a piedi in un quarto d'ora. La colazione è sicuramente il pezzo forte dell'albergo, direi tra le migliori mai fatte!

Big room with enough privacy. Location was okay.
Night staff was friendly. But we had experienced no hospitality with the morning staff by not greeting us, we felt like we were not welcome anymore. Left our luggage at the front office and picked it up later, but were not greeted anymore at our arrival. Even our child greeted them without response back.
