The stuff was really kind and they gave us everything we needed

The cleanliness was lacking, but that’s the only issue because everything else was amazing

Great location - walking distance to most landmarks and there is a Carrefour and a metro station a couple minutes away. Very friendly english speaking staff, air conditioning came in handy even this late in the year and everything was clean. Kettle is a nice inclusion, though a mini-fridge would have also been very welcome but you can just drop off stuff in the reception fridge so that is fine. Room service comes a little too early for us but they do a second round later in the day, they were also very friendly and even though not all of them spoke english we always managed to somehow communicate. There are luggage lockers and a bathroom at the reception which you are free to use before check-in and after check-out which was an absolutely awesome thing to have as we didn't have to carry our luggage around for the last few hours of our stay in Paris. As a bonus at least in our room - including the bathroom - all the lights were flicker-free for the photosensitive few of us, which is sadly not a given nowadays with LED lighting being everywhere. This is a first for us over the past 3 years of traveling.

The hotel is very good overall so I mostly just have small things to point out on why we gave it a 9/10 instead of a 10/10 - small things still matter when the hotels are this expensive even if the price is the norm for Paris: The bathroom was even more cramped than it looked in photos, next time we would probably pay extra for the larger bathroom in the Superior class rooms, probably fine if you're traveling solo or as a pair, but for a family of 3 it was a little small. The beds are too short for basically anyone over 170cm tall, your feet will hang off the bed. The pillows are also quite hard and especially huge so they take up a lot of space and you can't really squish them well - offering softer or smaller/rectangular pillows would probably solve the bed length issue too. Mattress was nice and soft though. There is like a foam padding at the end of the bed for you to lean against when sitting but it takes a lot of space when you're trying to sleep and given the hotel supplies 2 pillows, it feels a bit unnecessary when you can just lean against those instead. Lastly yes you can hear some noise from other apartments if people are opening doors or drop things on the floor (but normal speech and such you can't hear), but it doesn't feel like anything overly irritating or even unusual for these old European buildings with just plain walls without insulation - so Europeans staying here probably won't even notice, Americans might :D

The staff! so helpful and kind and polite and helpful and smiling! The location. Rooms simple but clean and had all we need.

Unacceptable tiny, tiny single room. Not worth the money compared to the larger rooms. Worst room I have ever booked in over 10 trips to Paris. I could almost touch both walls and the toilet was 5 feet from the bed.
