Tall Timbers Tasmania

The 2-bed lakeside apartment was huge! Massive bedrooms, lovely big bathrooms, fabulous kitchen with large fridge/freezer, huge lounge and dining area with plenty of seating, desk space. The private deck over looking the lake was wonderful. Take your binoculars so you can do plenty of birdwatching. So peaceful. Being able to park up right outside was great, to unload onto the front patio - also a lovely place to sit with its own table and chairs. Thank you for the complimentary tea/coffee/snacks and milk - extremely well stocked. We went out the first day to come back to a serviced room too, which we weren't expecting, a nice surprise. (I remembered to put the notice over the door handle the next day!) Tall Timbers itself has so many facilities. We used the pool, the gym, ate at the restaurant (beautiful steak!), went to watch the footy final at the Sports Bar, walked around the grounds. Loved being able to see the cattle in the adjacent field whilst swimming laps in the pool. It's a great location to use as a base for exploring the Tarkine and the western coast. Will definitely go back.

We were upgraded to two bedroom unit, which was very spacious. Lovely view over paddocks and the gardens surrounding the hotel are delightful. Our own washing machine and dryer were a bonus. Good restaurant with great staff. Town a short distance away with a Woolies and good cafes.

Food was great at both dinner and breakfast. Bed was comfortable and hot shower.

Could not get wifi in my room even though I was near the box and as I was on business I needed to get work done. The room was very worn and needs updating.
