Didn't really want to tell you all how good La Portette is as it may be fully booked when we are looking to book again but it would be rude not too. Liza and Andy were exceptional hosts. From a cold beer on arrival to a wonderful multi course evening meal which was both utterly delicious and plentiful, from the aperitifs through to the coffee, not forgetting the wine. This was followed by a wonderful nights sleep. The following morning what a splendid spread for breakfast, so much variety and must not forget so much is homemade by Liza. Also the spectacular views of Mont Blanc and Les Arcs. When we return to this area of the Alps we will definitely be seeking out this wonderful chambre d'hotes and cannot recommend it highly enough. Thanks Liza and Andy for such a great stay, shame it was only for one night and we will definitely book with you again, if you are free, when we return to the Alps.

Absolutely nothing to not like

Great location, the host was very friendly. Also the breakfast was great. Unique experience in a French village in the heart of the Alps.

Breakfast was fantastic - and the view was amazing!

One of the best B&Bs I have ever stayed in. The hosts Liz and Andy were friendly and very helpful. We ate both dinner and breakfast at the B&B. Liz is an excellent chef and both meals were exceptional. We ate our dinner on the balcony with a beautiful view of Mont Blanc in the distance. The home has been fully renovated but still maintains many of the features of the original house; a real treasure. Our room which included a bathroom, was clean and had lots of charm. Internet was good. Lots of parking in the square beside the house.

Do not think twice about booking with Liza and Andy! Their home is beautiful and they are so dedicated to making sure you have a good stay. Liza's breakfasts and dinner were among the best meals we had during our trip (and maybe in our life when we think back on the cream brûlée)! The location is fantastic for hiking and even some water activities further down the mountain. Can't wait to be back!

Excellent and Singular expérience in a familiar and very warm ambiance. Liza welcomed us cheerfully and the dinner she préparéd was délicieuse. We had our meal served in the balcony with a nice view on the valley. The room was well furnished and the shower was very confortable. We enjoy ed thé breakfast prepared by Lisa with home made bread and jams.

Thé star way to the room is a litt'e bit narrow.
