Location

there is no breakfast, room is clean and big, but here is no AC and summer becomes challenging. the room was on 3rd floor and was too hot while sun was shining.

The kindest owners ever, cozy rooms and really good location in Mestia. Can really recommend!

We stayed two nights at Mestiatour Guesthouse and had a wonderful experience. We arrived in the evening and were greeted warmly with tea and homemade cake, instantly feeling at home thanks to Laura and Giorgi’s hospitality. The twin room was very clean and excellent value for money. We arrived on the Old New Year (14 January) and were kindly invited to join their family dinner, enjoying delicious Georgian and Svanetian home-cooked food. This was a truly genuine local experience that no price can match. Tea and coffee were always available, and we could also use the kitchen to prepare our own food. The location is perfect, very close to Seti Square where buses and vans stop, and within walking distance of the museums. The view of the snowy mountains from our room window was beautiful. Mestia is a lovely medieval town and especially pretty in winter. We would definitely come back and stay here again.

We loved everything, but if we had to mention something that could be improved, there could be more toilet paper provided in the bathroom, though this was not an issue for us. The Wi-Fi could also work better, which is understandable given the location.

Great location- right near the marshutka / bus stop in Mestia town, house is big. We stayed here twice in a private double room and they let us leave our bags for 3 nights while we hiked to Ushguli. We didn’t eat so can’t comment on the food.

The main disappointment was the fact that our door was attempted to be opened a total of 8 times in one evening/ night. Whilst our door was locked every time - only one of the attempted openings came a “knock” before (they did still try to open it immediately after). When confronting the owner we were told it was absolutely not their staff and only other tourists. While this may be true; I find it hard to believe tourists were misled to our room 8 different times in one night? We did open the door one time after an opening attempt and it was a little girl - the one who greeted us upon arrival- who said she thought no one was in the room? A better effort should really be made to keep a record of the rooms that are occupied. Our second stay was significantly more peaceful and the owners were more nice the second time around so this could be an isolated incident but I can only be honest about the experience we had. Laundry is offered but charged at 10 or 20 Lari per wash - however the machine is tiny and our clothes didn’t seem too clean after the 30 min wash, so I recommend a longer wash in that machine (but this isn’t great for communal appliances as others might want to use it). On the second visit we had no working heater in the room.
