Friendly staff both in restaurants, bar and reception. Lovely location and situated in nice grounds. Great food at breakfast and the evening meals.. Comfortable room and bed.
Had a fall due to an unexpected incline on the route to our room. Badly cut shin. No accident book available. No first aid offered. Lots of stairs going up and down all over. Carpets don't help with perception. Uneven stair depths don't help. Whole hotel looks tired. Needs H&S looking at. Sockets in bedroom in a hole in the plaster board not fixed. Carpets wearing thin...Just in need of some TLC and attention to detail.

The location was good for us and the main factor was we could bring our pet dog with us, it means a lot to us. The breakfast was good and the staff was very helpful and friendly. We enjoyed our stay thank you.

Lovely building and nice breakfast
No room key available on check in even though it was after 6pm. Staff had to seek a wedding guest who had failed to hand it in. Dog in the next room barked all night long so we hardly slept. Light up mirror in bathroom not working. Light from outside lit up the room all night. Shower very unclean and mouldy. Wedding taking place on arrival so uncomfortable check in with loud merry guests blocking the walkways.
