Osaka Guest House U-En

It’s located near shin Fukushima station which has many eateries in the area. It’s a 20mins walk to Osaka station.

I had the top bunk bed and I find the ladders difficult to climb up and down.

Verry Nice hostel ! The staff were lovely and the facilities great. I booked a single room which was perfect for one person, with the AC, a small table and chair and a futon. If you go to bed early there’s still some noise in the common room and the downstairs coffee until 10 PM, but it wasn’t a problem for me. For the location, it was maybe a little far from Osaka-Umeda station, which connects with the rest of the city (I took the hanshin line to go there every day to be able to go where I wanted).

The staff members were friendly and helpful! I enjoyed the tatami style room and found the beds and pillows comfortable. The AC worked well, and the private rooms have locks on the doors which is nice. I enjoyed the lounge area for co-working. I found the area felt safe and was filled with some sweet hole-in-the-wall restaurants. I noticed there were a lot of nice restaurants in the area too, if that interests you!

I found it challenging to sleep one of the two nights due to guests not respecting the quiet hours, but recognize that’s not the hostel’s fault! I felt a little bit farther away from Osaka station than I would have liked to be for day trips and a bit far from more central spots in the city; however, I found the area to be quieter and a nice neighborhood, which was appreciated.
