The receptionist was the first big plus for this hotel. She was welcoming, helpful and a delight. Our bedroom was comfortable and very pleasant. A real highlight was dinner in the restaurant- a small menu but superb food. Breakfast was also excellent.
Somewhere better to hang damp towels would have been good.

Staff were helpful and the conservatory bar was really nice. The room was quiet at night despite being opposite the train station.
The room, especially the bathroom could have been cleaner. The socket near the mirror was broken. The rooms are very small. The train station has a lot of beggars around and if we had known there had been a football match on also, we wouldn't have chosen the hotel as there were hoards of people drinking and shouting all day (thankfully not at night).
