The boss was very generous allowing us to cook outside food at night using their stove for free. They also gave us a lift by creating to and from the ferry. The whole family were very warm friendly and helpful. then there was the superb location and quiet serene atmosphere and beautiful wooden shack hotel rooms. it felt like going back in time in the best way possible A++

My husband and I had a great time staying at Yunshe. The location is absolutely amazing and the Mountain View is stunning! Even just taking a tea and sitting at the patio was relaxing! You are surrounded by friendly dogs and cats, pomelo trees and clear air. The owner and staff were extremely helpful, arranged the car and provided very useful tips of activities. Freshly cooked food was also nice, especially the gluten rice cake (breakfast) and bbq beef.

The location of the guesthouse is beautiful. While a bit hard to get there, the scenery is very lovely. I also really loved the overall look and feel of the traditional Chinese house. If you want to hike Damian Mountain for sunrise, it’s a great place to stay as they have their own trail leading to the mountain.

Our room had a cockroach problem, especially in the bathroom. The room isn’t what I was expecting based on the photos. The beds were really hard and in the middle of the night the dogs started howling/barking and woke us up many times!

Great location: not in the touristic town, but a bit away, that made my holidays very peaceful. Nice hommade food, fresh fruits, smiley owners that always happy to help with trasportations, to share unic places to visit and mounts to climb; comfortable rooms and the beauty all around. Was glad Id chosen that place to stay!

When I stayed here, I felt the warmth of home in the spectacular hills around Yangshuo. With home-grown, reared and cooked foods, locally brewed alcohols and views that make your heart beat faster, staying here was the best decision I made during my visit to Guangxi. The hiking and view at the top of Da Mian Mountain was fabulous. Smiles and welcomes way off the tourist trail...this place is for the respectful traveler or city breaker who values the many sounds of nature. Speaking Chinese is helpful - do spend some time to support Xiao Duan with her English studying, which will help you to learn more about the local area. The price is very reasonable for what you experience in return. It’s the kind of place that you will think about for weeks and months after leaving - it’s just that stunning.

Place where is easy to lose a sense of time. If you don’t know chinese, well, you’re in trap. But if you still don’t know chinese and full of enthusiasm the final destination is worth it. Contact with the owner in advance how reach them, they are great people. Good luck on your way!
