First I want to say this property was exactly how it's displayed in the pictures. Very clean, quiet, vibrant, and safe. The host Mrs. Ferguson was a delight. She made sure everything we needed or asked she was able to help with. There was someone onsite every morning to keep the grounds tidy and pool clean. The accomodations in one word was great. My stay was comfortable and safe and that's why I look for in a home away from home and this property did just that. Thank you Mrs. Ferguson for the great stay.

My family and I visited the Bahamas to attend a funeral. We booked 4 suites. The property was gorgeous. The suites were beautifully decorated and extremely clean! Mrs. Ferguson was an EXCEPTIONAL host. She went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. The taxi service she recommended was also great. I highly recommend this property!!

The outdoor recreational area really shines for the property. Our two families stayed in two of the suites that all back on to a large pool with an outdoor seating area and bar area. Property was clean, and aspects such as laundry facilities so you don't have to pack clothes for every day of the trip were appreciated. The location is in the south central area of the island and requires driving to visit Nassau destinations. We opted to use Mr. Jacob, a driver recommended by the property manager. The daily cost was less than a car rental and quite convenient as our group of eight could be accommodated in a single trip by his three seating row vehicle. The property would be enjoyed by all, but especially families with children as games and play in the large size pool kept the kids occupied for hours. A final note, the property owner is quite responsive and checked in on our group during our stay to make sure all was well.

After several VRBO rentals over the years Coastal Winds definitely stands out as the best we've ever found. The property is beautiful, well-maintained and comfortable. Brenda is the most attentive, warm and friendly host we've ever had the pleasure to encounter. On a 5 star scale Coastal Winds and Brenda deserve 10 stars!

Amazing property, extremely accommodating.

I can’t tell you how special this place was. The host and her family were gems! They anticipated our needs arriving on Christmas Day! Mrs. Ferguson put us in touch with Mr. Jacob who picked us up from the airport and brought us to other island sites. The property was impeccable. Shhh! The groundskeeper even climbed to get us coconuts filled with coconut water! The pool, the bar, the laundry, and outdoor gathering places were just what we needed in the mornings and return from excursions. Make arrangements with Mr. Jacob for all your transportation needs as the property is about 20 minutes away from the downtown and most tourist spots. Wonderful hosts and wonderful, safe property. We plan to stay there again for our next family gathering in Bahamas!!

Gorgeous property with our very own pool. We had a group of 15 people & we fit comfortably. Brenda was an exceptional host making sure we had what we needed & even helped us find dinner spots. We highly recommend this spot.

Everything was perfect! Just what we envisioned and just as it looked in the pictures. Brenda was the best hostess ever and was eager and able to help with anything we needed. We did some excursions while we there and it was so nice to have such a great place to come home to. So relaxing! We couldn't have asked for a better experience. Hope we have a chance to go back someday and if we do I know where we are staying!

We stayed at this property while traveling for a business trip. The layout of the suites is great - plenty of space and very comfortable. We did not end up using the tiki bar area or BBQ area as we had originally intended, but they were beautiful and welcoming. As others have mentioned, the area is gated and very safe. I enjoyed walking many mornings. The pool was beautiful and very warm & comfortable. Some prior reviews indicated that at one time there might have been a hot tub, but that is no longer case. Of course, wasn't a problem for us! The guest laundry facility is very spacious, bright and clean, with multiple washers/dryers so many people can do laundry at once. The host provides detergent as well. Each suite comes with one roll of paper towels and a few backup trash bags. We thought for certain that we would need more of each, but they were just enough for us for our stay. Basic seasonings, saran wrap, aluminum foil not included, so plan accordingly. Also, host does not provide soap for the bathroom, so I'd suggest to plan to pickup a bottle to have to wash hands. We brought our own hair dryers as well. The only thing that I would advise others about - the property is on the south end of the island. When we originally looked it up it appeared to be on the north central part, closer to Paradise Island. It wasn't an issue for us because we had already planned for a car rental, but for others the commute could get expensive if you planned to get out a lot. You are looking at anywhere between a 25 & 45 minute commute to get to the other ends of the island, depending upon what you are planning to do. With teens & young adults, it was a little challenging to decide what we were doing for the day so as not to end up spending a couple of hours traveling to and from the property. For people who have an open schedule and younger kids, this would be absolutely ideal as you could literally spend the entire day by the pool, cook and not need to leave. Depending upon the activities you are considering, I'd also highly suggest doing your research into places that offer resort day passes. We found some ranging from $10-$200 (excluding food and beverage) and a few all inclusive properties ranging from $75-$150. This was a nice way for us to get out, see some things and still entertain the young adults. All in all this property is beautiful, the hosts are thoughtful, accommodating and responsive. We are glad we stayed!

My family and I stayed 9 days the first week of June 2022. We had a great time. The weather did not fully co operate. We had blast non the less. Brenda Ferguson and her husband Larry were the best host ever! Brenda was very attentive to all our needs. The place (all suites) were better than I had expected. Very clean and spacious. The pool and tiki bar was awesome. The property is located on the south side of the island. We loved it and had no problems getting around town. I will most certainly be coming back, if they will have us. This is a 5 stars place!

The property was amazing. Very beautiful and well maintained. The property owners were very nice and went above and beyond checking on us to make sure we were okay. The property was in a gated community, which made you feel very safe. It took about 30 minutes to get to the northern side of the island, where Atlantis is. It was nice having the property solely to who I brought with me. You didn't have to be around hundreds of strangers, loud noises, kids crying, etc. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking to visit the Bahamas. Well worth the money!

Costal winds is the perfect getaway. From booking to departure, the Ferguson's made sure everything was perfect. The property was exactly as described and absolutely beautiful. The hospitality was even better. Brenda helped with covid testing requirements and advised on transportation and a private chef. Mr. Jacob was an excellent driver, accommodating and very personable. We highly recommend this property and all the fun that goes with it. We can't wait to return.

Coastal Winds is the perfect property for multi family vacations in Nassau. It was beautiful, clean, walking distance to the ocean, quiet and the owner/property manager was very attentive! Each family had privacy in their rooms...but could meet at the pool whenever they wanted! I would highly recommend this property.

Many thanks to the owners of this property for a delightful holiday , It is a great place for families , with a pool to play in, , a swing set for the little ones, outdoor TV for the big guys, and full kitchens to use . It is nice for each separate family to have their own units to go to at the end of the day.The facilities were spotless, and linens and towels were washed daily. Brenda was always checking in to see if we needed anything ,It is quiet in the area, so going for daily walks was easy.They have the services of Mr. Jacob for transportation, around the island and for airport transfers, and they can hook you up with a great caterer "Lisa" from Topps Catering A perfect place for a large family to vacation in Nassau.Many thanks to the hostess of this property.Always helpful, and friendly,

Our family (grown kids) met there for Thanksgiving! Its in an upscale area away from the busy tourist area. We used Mr Jacobs taxi service to go to the beach, etc. Loved it because we could all meet by the pool and each bring something out to the big dinner table by the pool in the evenings! Bare in mind it will take some time and money each time you want to travel to Paradise Island, beaches etc. Everything was great and Brenda was very attentive and even called to make sure we made it home ok!!!

This vacation spot is on the south western shore of the Bahama Island and a good few miles from all the usual amenities you might want or need and whilst nothing is far away the traffic can sometimes be prohibitive to moving around quickly. We rented three of the rooms here for our family and they were spacious and well decorated with plenty of good linens and with very comfortable beds. However, with four children the very nice china and glass tableware was under threat and three pieces were broken accidentally. We have spoken to the owner about putting in some good looking plastic ware for those occasions when kids come to stay. You will be required to pay for breakages. I purchased paper cups and plates to avoid further breakage and injury to the kids. We also would have loved some additional kitchen items as we were cooking our own food and this too the owner is happy to supply. Overall we were very impressed by the service, the lovely personality of the owners, and the lovely rooms. The pool and bar area was a real bonus, being large as well as deep. the pool brought many hours of fun swimming. There was also a laundry room and outside shower/toilet. On one occasion the power went out but the owner had that covered with their own generator. WiFi was a bit in and out but maybe that's a good thing with kids it gets them to do other things rather than sit around all day. Overall, it was a quiet place with lots of tropical flowers and shrubs and there are non poisonous snakes which you might see around but they are all over the island not just there. The kids enjoyed seeing them and identifying them, along with the frogs, and lizards. We enjoyed our stay very much and the owners were only too happy to supply info as they were very friendly. We traveled to the IMAX cinema a one off at $38 a seat for adults, Snorkling at Stuart's Diving was excellent, Atlantis via ferry having parked at The Point, the Straw Market, the Blue Sail for our last dinner night, Senor Frogs, The Smuggler restaurant where they serve breakfast until 10.30. There is a 27% resort fee in a hotel and 80% imported food so you have to pay more than you would back home. Hope this helps.

Stayed 4 days and Three nights, this was a mini stay for my big birthday. This place is amazing, it's beautiful. They only rent it out to just your family no matter how big of small it may be, and that a plus. MR. Jacobs was our personal taxi driver, he has a lot of knowledge about the Bahamas and very nice, I suggest you reserved his services. There's so much to see and do and that's the reason I'm coming back next year. Make sure you check the weather, we went in June and it was baking! The suites are spacious and clean, Ms Brenda is very nice and her smile lights the room up.

Coastal Winds is the perfect place to go to unwind from the madness of a busy life. If you want lots of activity and/or nightlife, don’t stay here. If you want the serenity and beauty that the Bahamas has to offer, this is the place for you. The pictures are realistic, and the pool is fabulous. The hosts are available and willing to help you navigate whatever activities you want off property. Couldn’t have asked for a nicer retreat!
