The maintenance/painter person that woke us up with the sanding down of walls. I opened the curtain and he was standing on "our" balcony over the doorway. The day we arrived, he was busy at the unit attached to ours. We were the only guests and there were enough units to do maintenance and painting on, I am sure. I specifically requested a unit that has the lagoon view so Alkantmooi should have planned our booking properly and accordingly their maintenance too. Not private at all. We felt that we should leave the unit for the day and he was busy at the front entrance of the unit when we came back. The uphill gravel road to Alkantmooi was not pleasant especially when the contractor decided to "resurface" it leaving big stones in the roadway. I feel that Alkantmooi should have rather refused our booking since they needed to have all of their maintenance done that time. Also inform guests of the type of road surface that's not pleasant for normal cars. We ended up with a flat tyre enroute to our next destination.

The view, from the deck is absolutely beautiful. Would definitely recommend for a family stay or 2 couple stay.

Braai rather small, but functional. would be great to sit by a warm fire over looking the bay late evening/night.

The person at reception was a bit odd in explaining too many details. We were surprised to hear not being able to have breakfast. It needs to be asked 2 days in advance but if you are on a roadtrip and make a last minute booking not very convenient. Room was quite cold overnight and no heating available. Bathroom in the basement. Overall too expensive for what you get.

Lack of aircons.

The location was excellent. Amazing views. The accommodation was immaculate and beautifully decorated. There was also a breakfast tray in the fridge. Ne-Lize was excellent at reception, pleasant and helpful. Everything you need is available. We also enjoyed and afternoon walk in the nature reserve. Safe and secure. Loved our stay.

The view was amazing. A nice size room that was spotlessly clean and the towels were charged every day.

We enjoyed the tranquility away from the hustle and bustle.

The room was cozy and equipped, we had everything we could need. There was pleasant bonus of complimentary breakfast and cherry liquor. The view was absolutely amazing. Well worth the money.

The chairs outside are mad of metal, so would be great to have pillows to put on them

Mattress needs to be replaced

The spectacular view of the lagoon and sea is truly magical, I also appreciated the snack platter the host thoughtfully prepared. The garden is also well maintained and cleaned which is welcoming on arrival.

To get to the venue it requires a fairly long drive up the mountain, the road is well maintained but it's important to factor this in when planning your daily trips out and back again. Also the TV is positioned awkwardly in relation to the bed, would be nicer if it was facing the bottom of the bed.

Perfect place to relax and fully enjoy your stay in Plett. Great accomodation, but most of all such an exceptional position and the breathtaking view from your room balcony, enjoying your morning coffee, or evening tea. Will surely visit again.

Absolutely beautiful.. The chalet was perfect.. The view of the sea and lagoon breathtaking. Thank you to Minelia and team for looking after our every need.. We will be back!

it was a bit cold

The location is fantastic - the view is breathtaking!!! 5 Min into Plet and 5 min to our favorite restaurant in Keurbooms Strand. A very quiet peaceful setting - ideal to relax and unwind. Tastefully decorates and fully equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

The braai is very very tiny.......perhaps that should be changed. It's not just a cooking utensil, it is also a way to relax and for those who braai to relax, it's actually hard work to get food cooked on such a small braai. Also, where do you switch the light on that's at the braai or does the globe need to be replaced?
