Nice location, especially if you are going to use the gondola

No A/C in the rooms when it can be pretty hot outside

Exceptionally good location right beside ski-lift/Summer biking etc. lift, central to the town and facilities but quiet. Excellent staff, very good breakfast, nice comfortable rooms, good restaurant and bar.

Maybe an electrric kettle could have been useful, but the staff were happy to fill thermos flasks etc.

The photos make it look like the hotel is in the countryside, but it is actually in a city on a loud road. The rooms do not have air conditioning, which is an issue in the summer. Also, the hotel advertised a spa and pool, but those facilities were not open when we stayed there.

The staff were generally friendly. The barman is a legend. The location couldn't be closer to the ski/snowboard hire and slopes access, with many great restaurants within a few minutes' walk. The building is kept clean and tidy. The common areas of the ground floor are large and pleasantly styled in shaped and carved woodwork. There are a range of facilities available including pool, gym and spa. The lifts are fast and work flawlessly. There is easy access to ski/snowboard kit storage in the basement level. There is parking available in and near the building. The showers are excellent with high pressure and fully controllable near instant heat. The food in the restaurant was great. The buffet style breakfast has good variety. The drinks are cheap.

Service for food in the restaurant was very slow, taking 45 minutes to be asked for our order after being sat down, then another 45 minutes to start receiving food. They seemed to be understaffed in important areas. The card keys for our room took 3 attempts to programme correctly, so we had to return to the desk each time to ask for a new key, before we could rest and unpack. Only a handful of key staff spoke English, which is fair given they might speak Catalan, Spanish and French before English, but this made it difficult to ask for help with some of the issues already mentioned. The rooms get uncomfortably hot over night, so you have to turn the radiators off completely, and sometimes open a door to the freezing outdoors. The dry air makes this even more unpleasant. The room cleaners completely ignore the green/red enter/don't enter card that you hang on your door.
