The Waterloo Hotel & Bistro

Sami the staff member made us always feel really welcome in the hotel. Our stay was really pleasant, amazing breakfast for the price. And whenever we needed something, we just had to ask and would be solved. The hotel felt like a home. Really good vibes. Thank you.

Stayed for a night after watching the football , poor score, great hotel, the bar is stunning, friendly staff, comfy rooms and cheap as chips!

Nothing to comment on, would have been nice to have had a breakfast or food but think thats their plan, the area is not the most desirable but was perfect for us

Lovely big comfy room with lots of air and a big bed. Very friendly check in and a great vibe. The room was visually appealing with big windows and a pleasing colour scheme. It was very affordable and a great location.

No restaurant, breakfast offer, or lift. I spoke with friends who have stayed here and they say everything has been temporarily closed for quite some time The car park entrance is EXTREMELY narrow and takes a lot of lining up. Wider vehicles park outside instead. The carpark is locked at 10pm - I booked the hotel so I could go out at night in Newport, but unfortunately I couldn't take my car! When I got back to the hotel late at night, there was a gathering of people by the front door which was a bit surprising. The room wasn't the cleanest (not dirty, just dusty), a few things were broken and some stuff just wasn't laid out well, and the mattress was quite old.

Bed was comfortable, tea, coffee and biscuits, was good, 2 hand towels and big towels, even those only me

Tv didn’t work, spoke to reception, they was coming up, no one came up, lift didn’t seem to work, when i took out phone charger, found skirting boards very dusty, road cery noisy
