MONDI Resort Oberstaufen

Great play areas for kids. Top of Algau region and close to activities. Not far from city with plenty of good dining and some takeaway options.

Very inconvenient. They even emailed me after checkout to remind me to return one key card, which is something I've never experience in my life (there is no key card drop box). The restaurant is very out of place and lacks kid friendly options, with the breakfast layout chaotic with the check in table in the worst possible place. The sauna requires a special bracelet and not a keycard, adding inconvenience, and people bypassed this by prying open the doors.

The apartment and other facilities were too hot, there was no air conditioning anywhere, and no mosquito net. There were flies even at the restaurant with no device to kill them. The activities for kids at the resort were poor. The swimming pool was most of the time deserted, as well as the play rooms for kids.

1. Check-in only after 16:00. Too late in my opinion. 2. The restaurant. Menu for lunch was very limited. Nothing to eat for children. Green salad, cheese plate, flammkuchen, dessert. In the evening we didn’t have opportunity to have table in restaurant. It was fully booked ( only available in the late evening but our little children have to sleep this time). And you can’t order “to go menu” because it’s possible to do only before 17:00 with special guest App. Nearest village had not so much restaurants and they were also overcrowded. A very frustrating experience. ( At the end we grabbed take away pizza in the village). It was the same story next day. But now we knew about menu to go and had time to order it. We were lucky they let us in for breakfast. In conclusion, I can say that we didn't like constantly worrying about meals at the resort.
