The location was in the heart of Ambleside with short walks to restaurants, shops, and a lovely waterfall. The room was spotless and well decorated. It is centrally located in the Lake District with reasonable drives to other sites. Our hosts were very attentive. We had a slow draining shower, and he fixed it the same day.
If you are an American and used to AC, the room was a little stuffy on the upper floor. There was a fan which we used, and we opened a window, but I'm not sure that we could have been comfortable in July or August. We were here mid September. It was a little more touristy than we were hoping for in September. I think the description said "mountain view". From our room, there may be a sliver of mountain peeking above all the rooftops.

The whole place is spotless and the breakfast was amazing. Great location right in the heart of Ambleside and the secure parking area only a couple of minutes walk from the property was great. I would definitely book this place again the next time I visit Ambleside.

The location was perfect, very close to Ambleside town center and in a perfect location to reach the trekking paths. The property is very well maintained, clean, and very welcoming with truly easygoing and kind staff. Our room was spacious, clean, and with all the comforts. A truly impeccable place, I recommend it and hope to return if I am ever back in that area of England.
Everything was very good
