Hotel Bojnický vínny dom

The staff were friendly and helpful. There is a lift in the building. There are plenty of (paid) parking spaces behind the building. The hotel’s location on the town’s main square is brilliant! The room was spacious, practically furnished and well lit. Breakfast offers a wide selection, and various egg dishes are freshly prepared on request.

The building itself is quite ‘old’ in terms of its structural condition. The furniture in the rooms is just as old. The bathroom taps probably date back to the last century; there are two handles for cold and hot water and you have to mix them yourself, which is a faff and wastes quite a bit of water. The reception is normally only staffed until 6 pm; I was very lucky that the receptionist stayed on longer that day. All in all, I find it incomprehensible how this hotel could have received such a high rating on booking.com. I spend between 30 and 40 nights at the hotel every year – mainly on business. A rating of over 9.0 promises an exceptional standard by international standards, but that is not what is on offer here.
