Very comfy bed. Nice quiet area. Lovely breakfast. Friendly staff. Nearby Saffron Walden was lovely.
Nothing.

Very comfortable rooms. Warm welcome. Nice garden for a drink or alternatively a nice lounge area.

My husband and I booked this last minute as we extended our visit to family in the area. This place was a great last minute treat. Fair rates for an overnight stay and the staff from checking in to serving breakfast were all friendly, warm and so helpful. The room was full of character and so pretty. :)

Location and comfy bed
Breakfast only served for one hour, did not meet our needs at time we needed to go, spoke to staff night before they said they would leave us a continental breakfast which they did not. No staff to serve bar at night, no staff to complain to in the.morning. bathroom door would not shut. Shower took 7 min to get.warm and pressure low. Room decor tired.
