Just Sleep - Ximending

We liked everything about Just Sleep. Our room was perfect, and the bed and bath were great. The breakfast was terrific and we loved being able to spend time in the large sitting room with beverages and snacks. Having the laundry room available was fabulous. The location near the green MRT was perfect, as well as near shopping, massage, 7-11, etc. It really is perfect. It is the staff who make all the difference. They are so kind, polite, and helpful. One seriously can't go wrong with Just Sleep in Taipei.

I don’t usually leave a lengthy review, but this hotel especially the amazing staffs deserves a big shout out. After they go way beyond to help me locate my lost wallet. So, where do I start? There’s a lot of good things in this place and Taiwan. For a start, the hotel is in great location. It’s just across the famous Ximending Night market. You will not run of food options. The hotel is next to 7/11 where you can withdraw cash and have a quick bite. The hotel is conveniently located near the Ximen station. Hotel staff will send you instructions how to get there. I recommend though, that instead of exiting in EXIT 5 (as they will instruct), which only have stairs. If you have heavy luggage, that’s hard. Rather walk further / forward and entering the underground mall. Your walk will be smoothly and under AC. You will see a long mirror on your left and next is M6 (stairs, but close to Hankou st. On your right is 7/11 and entrance of Just Sleep) OR Take M5 that’s elevator, you will exit just before 7/11. Walk a bit more to Hankou St and you’ll see the entrance of just sleep. I hope that helps for future tourist with luggage and avoiding heat and stairs. Anyway, room is clean and got everything we need. Be aware though that they don’t give toothbrush/toothpaste as part of govt way of being environmentally friendly. You’ll get shampoo/shower gel supply. Drinking water in every floor is available. Coin Laundry in level 5. The refreshment provided by hotel is much appreciated too in level 5. The only negative comment I have is the bidet water is not strong enough. It’s not a deal breaker for us. Now for the staff, I would like to thank them all for helping me locate my lost wallet in elephant trail. They took initiative to call the management to check. They direct me to police station. They helped as much as they can.

After reviewing so many hotels in Taipei, we settled on Just Sleep Ximending. We wanted to be by Taipei Main Station and this hotel was 1 stop away but we settled on Just Sleep because we booked a triple room for our family of 3. The hotel is located in Ximending, an upcoming trending neighborhood with a night market a few steps away. The hotel lobby is located on the 5th floor. It also had a Hello Kitty 7-11 convenience store at street level with an ATM. The room was spacious with 3 separate twin beds. There was also a table which seats 4 people. There was space to put our luggages and many places to hang clothes or use the hanging knobs. Our view faced the Main Street and since our room was in the corner we had a great view of the city plus we did not hear any street noise or noise from neighboring rooms. The breakfast served had asian and western foods and it did change daily. We also had access to coffee/tea everyday and snacks were provided in the late afternoon into evening. We figured out that there was an elevator midway down the block to take you down to the mall level and easy access to Taipei's train system (Blue Line) so we didn't have to walk any stairs. It was great to use this elevator after a full day of sightseeing with my achy knees (location X6). The lobby staff, chefs, waiters/waitresses, and housecleaning were all great especially during breakfast when staff was clearing out dishes and cleaning tables. On the last day our plane back home was scheduled for 7pm. The staff was more than happy to let us stay in our room for 3 hours for an additional cost which was not expensive at all. Overall, this was a great choice for a family of 3. We paid a bit more but it was definitely worth it. Highly recommend this hotel!
