Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort & Spa

Staff hospitality

I have been staying at Oceanic Khorfakkan for many years and have always enjoyed my stays. Unfortunately, this time I felt the hotel is showing its age and is in need of a major renovation. The cleanliness and overall condition are not at the standard they used to be. The rooms and bathrooms look worn and require repairs, and the carpets in the corridors and lifts were noticeably dirty. We actually had to change our room because of an unpleasant smell coming from the bathroom. That said, the staff were warm, friendly, smiling and very helpful. I especially appreciate Mr. Mustafa, the duty manager, who was understanding and handled our complaint professionally. He arranged a room change and, as a gesture, upgraded us to a suite with a good view. His response made a difficult situation much better. I would still recommend Oceanic Khorfakkan, but I strongly feel the hotel needs a comprehensive renovation and improvement in housekeeping standards to bring it back to the level it once had.
