Many activities for kids throughout the day. Staff are so kind and helpful. Good breakfast with a variety of choices. Nice pools to relax and have fun with kids. Very close to a sandy beach. Small supermarkets around where we could find all the necessary.

Room furniture is quite old. The room is small. Terrible sound insulation. Every night we woke up once or twice due to baby next door cries.

I would highly recommend Royal Son Bou to anyone looking to give their children a fantastic holiday. The facilities are excellent, as is the food and drink. The all-inclusive offering is genuinely very good quality, with surprisingly little excluded. We particularly enjoyed having a Pomada each day. The animación team are brilliant. There’s a show every evening at 8pm, followed by another at 9pm which is a little more adult-focused but still completely family friendly. Kikoland is excellent too, with activities, toys, soft play and plenty to keep younger children entertained. The heated splash pool is great, and the pirate ship slide was a particular favourite. Our room was cleaned every day, with the beds made and fresh towels provided. The staff throughout the hotel were genuinely warm and friendly, regularly interacting with our toddler and helping to make the whole experience feel quite magical for him. Personally, I’m not a fan of huge, characterless resort hotels, so Royal Son Bou really suited us. It feels much more like a traditional Spanish apartment complex, with low-rise buildings that are only a few storeys high, which gives the whole place a much more relaxed feel.

We did have an issue with the room we were allocated on arrival. There was no hot water from the thermostatic shower, and the hot water from the sinks and hand shower had a slight brown tint with some sand-like sediment in it. The maintenance team were excellent and came to investigate within around half an hour. From our conversation with the engineer, though, it became clear that it wasn’t going to be a quick fix. This was really the only point during our stay where the service felt a little below the otherwise excellent standard of the hotel. We had to push rather more than we expected to find a solution, and the responses from reception initially felt a little prickly and dismissive. That was very much out of character compared with the friendliness we experienced everywhere else. We were eventually moved to another room, which completely resolved the water issue. We were told it was of the same category, although it was noticeably smaller and a little more dated than our original room. That said, this was one issue in an otherwise excellent stay and it certainly hasn’t put us off. In fact, we’re already discussing coming back again next year.

Sono professionisti capaci di svolgere più ruoli: oltre a esibirsi sul palco, sono bravissimi nelle animazioni e sanno fare più cose. Accanto a loro, ci tengo a ringraziare di cuore i camerieri ai tavoli: molto attenti, educati e incredibilmente bravi a capire con discrezione il momento giusto in cui avvicinarsi o non venire a chiedere. We absolutely loved our experience at the hotel. Everyone is amazingly friendly. The whole place is immaculately clean. We couldn’t be happier to spend a few days with our young children there. A special thank you to our great waiter Pepe and the manager at the reception who kindly gave us an upgrade which made our stay even more comfortable and memorable.
