Hotel Magnolia Boutique

I love the old building with marble stairs and ornate trim work and decor. So pretty and old Panamá feeling. Very very comfortable beds!! Fantastic location! Can walk to everything in Casco Viejo which we loved.

Bathrooms were in the hallway. Nice ones and private toilet and shower. No issues there. But I’m not used to it being out of the room. One was just outside our door like we were at someone’s house. It was a personal feeling like that. So no problem

Great location, right at the center of Casco Viejo and next to a lot of cafes and restaurants. Beautiful building, nicely decorated and very comfortable. Decent gym for basic workouts, nice common areas.

Be aware that also due to it’s location, specially on weekends, there’s a lot of noise at night (parties and bars). And although not an issue, it’s a self-serve kinda a place, so not a lot of staff around.

Wonderful location. It has a gym, something not many places in the neighborhood have. Nice common area on the 2nd floor. Helpful staff.

No elevator. There was reform work going on on our floor which we had not been informed about when booking nor on arrival. The shower handle and one of the curtains need fixing.

The hotel is reasonably priced and the location in Casco Viejo is convenient. The building itself has some charm, and I can understand why the photos make it look appealing.

Unfortunately, my experience was quite disappointing. When I first arrived, I was given a room where water was already coming from underneath the door. When I opened it, the room was completely flooded. I was then moved to another room upstairs, but when we got there, the door wouldn’t open and a member of staff had to go and find the emergency key. More generally, the hotel looks much better in the photos than it does in reality. The pictures definitely create a much more appealing impression than what you actually find once you arrive. I understand that this is a budget-friendly hotel, but basic things like having a dry room and being able to access the assigned room should really be a given. Overall, quite a disappointing experience.
