Hotel David

Wow. The location is great. The hotel is literally right across from the La Alameda subway station. From the subway, you can get to any of a number of tourist and market spots, just look on the map where the locations are and where the stops are and it's an inexpensive trip and usually a fairly short walk all for 45 cents. The room is a little small, but the bed was firm, the shower had plenty of hot water and the cleaning staff were always prompt with cleaning. They do give you soap and a shampoo packet every day. It's a neat hotel and would love to know more of the history of the building. Lastly, right next to the hotel is a pizza place and a Chinese restaurant at the corner. I would stay here again.

I was happy with my stay. I enjoyed breakfast, but it was usually the same thing everyday although the fruit and juice were usually different. It was still a nice way to start the day but this might bother some people. Also, just a cautionary note for anyone with physical limitations, there is no lift so you need to use the stairs. I didn't mind this, but I think it is good to know.

Easy to walk into the old part of Quito . We liked the breakfast

The shower was only cold water for us but other rooms seemed to had hot water. It was not very clean . Very noisy at night because of the open stair structure

The hotel had a nice atmosphere. The staff were very kind and helpful. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The complimentary breakfast was nice. The location is also good and there are many restaurants within a short walk.

The room was a little cool and had no heat. The Internet was spotty and half the time I had no internet in my room. The TV also did not function because of WiFi issues. They charged me an extra $5 on my Booking bill for some sort of "commission." I thought that was odd.
