Shanti Lodge Bangkok

Very good location, 7/11 on the corner and with taxi everything is close. Room was clean and ac worked fine. The stuff was nice. There is a place outside to sit and also the bar on the ground floor.

Shanti lodge was the most perfect stay! If you’re looking for authentic Bangkok it’s here. Owners were so friendly, you can tell it’s family run as the kids are in and around the restaurant and it’s a joy to see. The food was great, home cooked and fresh, the whole place was soo clean. The rooms are exactly what you need, air con/ fan, cool original decor. I would say the location is perfect for people who don’t want to be directly in the hustle and bustle of Bangkok but not too far away from a bit of life, it’s about 25 min walk to Khaosan rd and the calmer rd before Rambuttri. Shanti lodge is also right near the river with restaurants to explore. This has been the most authentic Thai stay on our trip to far and we must definitely come back!

Nothing

We booked a room for three nights online and was told the room we rented didn’t have air-conditioning. Had to pay ฿300 per night extra for an air conditioner. Good staff and room was fine. Just don’t like paying extra..
