B&B Het Hart van Haarlem

Great location in the middle of Haarlem

Centrally located, very nice and full breakfast brought to our room. Owner also arranged for us to have the full breakfast our second morning when we had to leave well before usual breakfast time to catch our flight. Very easy to get a bus to and from the B&B for Amsterdam airport as bus stop is directly in front of the B&B, and owner Esther was very helpful in that regard. Apartment is nicely equipped with fridge, microwave and dishes/utensils. Small bottle of complimentary wine was a nice touch, too.

All good.

We loved the ambiance of this B&B!

Honestly, there was nothing we didn’t like.

Breakfast, as others have said, is good and sufficient enough that you could make a packed lunch from it if you wanted to. The kitchen has good gadgets like a coffee maker and kettle etc. The oven was particularly good too. I liked the way the sun shone into the room in the morning. It was nice that there was a bottle of wine and beer for us when we first arrived. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets were clean.

Although the room was clean, it was really only superficially so. The room (we were in Room C) really needs a thorough clean. The struts under the TV table were covered in dust, under the settee was a horror story and the radiator by the door is very grubby. An hour or two of deep cleaning would completely resolve these issues. We chose this property because it looked a bit quirky - which it is - and Esther is a lovely lady and I do not wish to harm their business, but the room FELT dirty. (The carpet in the bedroom area isn't nice - if it was mine, I'd replace it with the parquet flooring that was in the living area.)
