Holiday Inn Scranton East - Dunmore by IHG

The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good.

It was a good value. The room was very clean and the bed was very comfortable. Loved that the restaurant was on the property and an exceptional value during happy hour.

Nothing

The rooms were spacious enough, with good lighting, and the beds were large and comfortable. Check-in and check-out were both quick and hassle-free. We were also glad to find that the swimming pool was a decent size and enjoyable for the family. Overall, a comfortable and pleasant stay.

However, we found some of the front desk staff to be less friendly and welcoming than expected. Unfortunately, we experienced a similar attitude at the hotel restaurant, which made us feel a little uncomfortable. We actually chose this hotel partly because Booking.com described the breakfast as “fabulous.” Unfortunately, we found the breakfast quite disappointing and it did not live up to that description. The rooms were comfortable overall, but they could also use some renovation and updating. With a more welcoming approach from the staff, an improved breakfast, and some refurbishment of the rooms, this hotel could be a much better experience.
