Clean friendly staff and location is very good

This was my second stay at this hostel. Despite a very negative experience during my first visit, I booked again because I had forgotten about it. This time, however, everything went as I described below. I had a very pleasant stay at this hostel. This time, the check-in was smooth and there were no problems at all. The bed linen was clean and fresh, and there were plenty of power outlets, which was very convenient. The bathroom and toilet were also very clean and well maintained. The location is absolutely ideal, with everything you need nearby and easy access to the main parts of the city.

The only negative aspect was the attitude of the staff. They did not seem particularly friendly or welcoming. During check-in, nobody smiled or made any effort to create a welcoming atmosphere. They seemed to work more like robots than people providing hospitality. I also felt uncomfortable asking questions because the answers often gave me the impression that they simply wanted to finish the conversation as quickly as possible and get rid of me. Of course, this is just my personal impression, but it did make the overall experience less pleasant.

Reasonably well positioned, staff helpful enough & room standard ok.

Communal kitchen a bit scrappy, but not below expectations. No bathroom mats provided in the linen, so floors were often wet. Thin walls. Having to pay for ice felt a bit silly, but I guess it's an expensive city...
