Hassela Ski Resort

Price/ quality. Pool at hotel.

Only 7 slopes open, but all effort made to open more.

Good slopes Nice breakfast

Old rooms, Soviet-style ancient furniture smell No hair dryer No kettle/coffee machine

It is cheap and had last minute availability for two families with kids , which I guess does explain itself.

The resort is in need of a refresh but it is ok. The chalet is simple but ok. Everything has to be paid in advance (including ski pass, ski equipment, ski school and end of stay cleaning), which I never experienced before. Also, with the kids we had to drive from the chalet to the ski slopes, which added to a lot of work. The ski in/out is only for those at the hotel and apartments. I did not ski (pregnant) so cannot rate that but it seems to be ok, more on the easy side (mind you not all pistes or lifts were open due to lack of snow) but the resort has a pool area that was a hit with the kids. Overall we did have a nice holiday but not sure we’d stay here again...
