Hotel Maritim 4 Superior

Excellent location, very good people running the hotel. Good food.

This is our 4th time. We normally book the 'Superior Deluxe Double or Twin'. 193ft square, good side view of sea and city, lovely balcony with a proper table and 2 chairs. They are excellent value for money. This time I booked the 'Premium room with partial Sea view' at 161ft square with two very uncomfortable deck chairs and a little side table big enough for two glasses. The room had not wall fittings to hang anything. The hotel said you have you wardrobe. Not suitable for your went beach towels, shoulder bag.... Unlike the Deluxe double which was very well designed to put your stuff away, in the premium there was none. The bed is placed on a metal frame that is much, much bigger than the actual bed. When we left our legs were bruised from walking into the metal base of the bed. I guess that is our fault, but why such a bigger metal frame that sticks out a mile?! The room must have been a man who designed this room who lacks any sense of practicalities. Every hotel I stayed in gives you two sachet of coffee every day. We had two for the entire week. In conclusion do not be tempted with the Premium room, it is a waist of money for less. It is a shame, the hotel is very good but the upgrade is not value for money.

The location is great, directly opposite the beach. The bar and on site restaurant are nice.

The room was extremely noisy, we were next to a kitchen. The bed was hard, but that’s usual for Spain we’ve found.

The air conditioning unit was not functioning properly, even after we were moved to a different room. The temperature remained consistently between 26 and 28 degrees Celsius, which is unacceptable.
