I liked the fact there was free coffee available in the lobby at all times.
The breakfast choices and quality of the fare was superb.
Shower curtain kept clinging to my body.
Shower water temperature was a stead 'Warm' - there was no 'Hot' or 'Cold'.
The toilet seat would not stay up.

The location will improve immensely when that brick building across the street gets renovated and one isn’t looking at a chain link fence.
Otherwise the staff were super friendly and helpful. Breakfast was okay but not as good as reviews indicated.

I had a nice modern room with all facilities
my colleague had an old room on the other side of the hotel. a big difference between the two for the same price

WiFi worked fine
The hotel does not have private parking as claimed on this website. The only parking isa piece of rough ground owned by the local council with parking enforcement. The only way to register for the parking is to use the ipad at reception, that is only in Danish so the staff member checking me registered, but it did not work so I received a €100 fine! The hotel staff would not help or support me in appealing the fine, not would they reduce my bill by the fine value. They just did not care.

Nice old hotel, which has been upgraded a lot without loosing the "home feeling" with old style. Ouer room had a brand new bathroom - NICE! Staff all :-) !

Lovely place with a cute, decent decoration, near beach, room was clean, comfortable and spatious, good choice for breakfast, very nice, friendly and helpful staff, we enjoyed our stay very much.

not a problem for us, just to know about it - rooms facing the road deals with some noice when the windows are open, the door of our room was not perfectly soundproof, we could hear people from the stairway a bit but it didnt bother us

The staff were accommodating when we were dissatisfied with our first room.
The first room was really disgusting. There was a wretched stench of cigarette smoke in one alcove, and in the other there was an unpleasant heavy smell of fragrant perfume, perhaps used to disguise the smell of the smoke.

Easy check-in after desk hours. A spacious room with street view. Enough spots around the hotel to walk the dog. Plus, the included breakfast was delicious!

Hotel Postgaarden was an amazing stay: We enjoyed the old story of the place, the central placement and the very helpful staff. The room was great: Good bed, lovely bathroom and overall well-designed.
Nothing :) We have no complains.

Wifi was excellent. Breakfast was good.
The toilet flush in the room we got first was running all the time after first usage. After complaining, we were relocated to a different room immediately (excellent response).
In our room facing to the inner courtyard, noise from the street (Oldenborggaade) was not noticable.
There was mold on the ceiling of the shower. The bathroom could be renovated but it is still ok.
The rolls contained something like pieces of carrots which looked a little bit strange in our German eyes ;-).

Location: Great location , close to the port & lots of restaurants & bars. Also its just about 12 mins walk from the station . I think there is also a bus which drops right outside the hotel, but we did not use it.
Room: Decent room size with clean bathroom
Breakfast: Good breakfast & also there is unlimited coffee & muffins throughout the day
Bed: This is more personal choice.. I have troubles sleeping on a TWIN bed.. We asked for double bed & while checking in also enquired specifically if we had twin or double beds & was informed they would be double beds, but on entering the room discovered they were twin beds.
Pillow: The pillows are GIGANTIC and not ideal to sleep on

Really friendly people at the front desk and generally speaking all around the hotel.
Good location really close to the city center.
The double bed is in fact 2 small beds put together with a gap between (a common issue in the Nordic country)

Breakfast was good.
When checking in, the room was dirty, nothing had been changed since the last guest checked out, towels on the floor, sheets still on, very disappointing.

very poor service, disinterested staff. Basic room offer small, so booked larger room at higher cost, 22 sqm, but the room was tiny, less than 15 sqm, only 50 cm around beds. 2 separate beds put together as double bed. Free parking advertised, but parking was full, staff could not care less, had to find parking on street side
