Mercure Dinan Port Le Jerzual

The room was clean, comfortable, and had a small, very private and sunny patio. We have styayed here before a chose it because we love the riverside location and have always found it to be well presented.

Location is epic, right alongside the river. Staff were amazing, really first class. Maria was the lady we dealt with the most (sorry I didn't get any other staff names who were also helpful) and she was professional and efficient and a real ambassador for the hotel/brand.

Very nice clean room with a nice view of the River Rance. Great parking.

Occasionally during the night the room hallway light would come on as if it was on the same circuit as the outside alleyway movement detector lighting circuit - very strange but very annoying when you are trying to sleep (Room 102)

Location and staff

Advertising that the room has air conditioning when it clearly was not available in any hotel bedrooms was utterly misselling. So, we were expected to sleep with the window open and be woken by noises coming from the port, ie. Small motorbikes and cars. Unacceptable to be in this situation. I book hotels purely based on air conditioning being available and this was a huge downside to our visit. The manageress was very nice and said all the right things but still no aircon. A free beer was offered and accepted but I was very disappointed at having to give in and open the window at 2am because the room was so stuffy and hot. I doubt that we will risk a return visit
