Skala Hotel

This is the most convenient location to stay in Skala if you want quick access to the bars and restaurants and the beach. The staff are very attentive and a good breakfast is provided. The rooms are a nice size and extremely clean. Ours had a lovely view of the sea from the balcony.

Nothing negative to say about the hotel. Just be aware that there is no swimming pool if that is something that matters to you. For me and my partner this is irrelevant because why would you be in a swimming pool when you have the beautiful sea just down the road?

Breakfast good. Coffee very strong for me but they did try and accommodate me. It would have been nice to have some bakery breads rather than packet bread for toast etc. Maybe some bakery items like croissants etc

The safe in my friends room wasn’t working, kept asking when it would be fixed and the answer was always “when the man comes” ….. which he didn’t whilst we were there. She was able to use my safe but had she been travelling alone not good enough to have no safe for a week. Her room was at the back of the hotel and was very dark, needed lights on in the daytime. The rooms were small. There was no one on any sort of reception after about lunch time except for emergencies. There was a bar with bottles displayed but never anyone to serve a drink. If you wanted ice for your tiny ice compartment in your fridge, you had to get it at breakfast.

Modern technically sound, digital key entry, coded room card, everything worked all very modern.

Nothing causing dislike.
