Cinnamon Lodge Habarana

We had the perfect time at Cinnamon Lodge. We chose it because of its reputation for Elephant safaris and it was the right choice. We were so lucky with our safari guide. At the hotel was just as wonderful. They are very eco-conscious and have designed an environment that has over 200 species of birds, 55 species of butterflies and so many other animals. Every member of staff was friendly and welcoming. Melvin especially took time to chat to us each evening (it's how I know about their wildlife) and went above and beyond to make us feel not just like guests, but like welcome family

The wifi was a little unreliable

Set in stunning natural surroundings, full of wild animals including monkeys, monitor lizards, iguanas, and even an elephant by the lake. The staff were all so warm and attentive and made us feel very special. The rooms were always clean and very comfortable.

Nothing. It was perfect.

There is not one thing we could fault about this hotel and the people who work there. The staff were so welcoming and brilliant everywhere we went. The pool and the surroundings were beautiful. So much wildlife to see and be amongst. Booking the safari through the hotel and the separate small business boat ride across the lake were highlights for us. The arrangements were seamless and now we have amazing memories of our time at Cinnamon Lodge Habarana and our first time in Sri Lanka. We couldn't love it more and we were so sad to leave!

We honestly felt everything was amazing for our stay. Everything we needed and more! Thank you for making our stay so special.

food choices were good

The check in process took more than an hour and it was really frustrating as our group included 2 babies. The front office manager was rude.
