Loved the welcome - enjoyed the local dress robes and loved the beautiful hotel room and facilities
Whilst we knew it would be a set menu and very traditional food we found some dishes were a little too much for our tastes but that is a personal issue, NOT a reflection on the wonderful hotel, hosts and cuisine

The accommodations were nice. The staff was very friendly. Food was fantastic! Location was great!
We liked everything. Just wish we had a private outdoor onsen in our room!

The Onsen was vacant when we went. The location is close to a charming town and small bamboo forest.
BEWARE: were not given the room we paid for! We specifically searched out rooms with 2 bedroom areas and paid for a room with 2 twin beds and 2 futons in 2 different areas. But on arrival we were told because we were only 2 people we had to sleep on the same platform bed!!! My friend snored and I couldn't sleep and it ruined my next day being tired. They had the Superior room we paid for but refused to give it to us saying it was Booking.com's fault
