Convenient for the town.

I’d say the room was a bit cramped

Very modern with nice updated fixtures and furniture.

We arrived late due to flight delays. It was difficult to figure out the way to do things without the staff being there.

We had a wonderful stay! The location of the hotel is perfect, with everything within walking distance. Having private parking was also a huge plus. The rooms are very spacious, modern, and spotlessly clean. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Room 1 is located right next to the main entrance and very close to the reception, so you can hear the noise of people coming and going.

Location was fantastic. Directly in historic center of Catania. The historic building itself was pretty. We had the triple room, the Crociferi room, which included a double bed along with a twin bed. Although we didn't need the 2nd bed for a traveler, it was convenient space to place our clothing. The room was airconditioned. The room appeared clean and we could tell the cleaning staff whether we wanted cleaning service that day or not. High ceilings in room, pretty light fixture in center and appreciated modern, minimalist decor. Window/balcony and room doors were extreme in height (beautiful). Lots of (day) and nite life to watch from the balcony. The doors that cover the window blocked out much of the nighttime noise of traffic, lights and people/music. There was a very sizeable closet in the room to store luggage out of the way. The Rick Steves Sicily travel book/guide, plush robes and disposable slippers in the room were all a nice touch. Nice size mirror in the main room area was appreciated, as opposed to the one in the bathroom. The bathroom also included an adjustable arm make up mirror for close up needs. Plenty of complimentary soaps, dental kit, toilet paper, etc. Towels were relatively soft and decent sized. The main reason for staying at this B&B is the private parking area if you are traveling with a rental car and want the added security of completely hidden gate protected entry/exit. It felt very secure/safe. The hotel staff are cordial.

Room was somewhat cramped, particularly the bathroom. When you sat to use the toilet, the sink was literally in your lap about chest height. Therefore, you had to sit angled away from the sink in order for it to not be so intrusive. If they had moved the toilet about 6-12 inches to the left (and yes there was room) this inconvenience would not have been. Although it wasn't the worst problem to have, the shower door did not fully close properly and the water in the stand up shower had a very slow drain to it so water pooled up while in shower. At night, there was still a lot of light peeking into the room and the doors to the room would rattle as people walked by or entered their nearby rooms. The light came from the air conditioner above the bed, the hallways and outside (old, historic doors/windows that were not sealed or come together properly (I get it they are old) and the picture overhead which rather glowed in the dark. The parking lot was very uneven with old stone and rocks (pretty & historic yes, smooth and easy to drive over, no). The gate code worked most times but was a bit of a challenge to figure out at first. Although it works, the building's elevator is very small, old and run down. It only comfortably holds two people with backpacks on. We did have to travel up it 1 person at a time when we brought our luggage up. The elevator only works when people remember to manually close the doors behind them. There were a couple of times we had to walk up/down the stairs because the elevator would not come down when the doors are left open. (This is not really a problem with the hotel but more with the guests staying at it.)
