Argo Hotel

Warm, family-owned hotel that has so much soul in it making this stay very special. We were pleased with our room, nothing lacked, everything was clean and tidy. The hotel staff, actually, the family that owns this hotel are so kind and welcoming. It was such a pleasure, honestly felt like we were on a vacation at our relatives house.

Great value for money! The room was clean and well maintained, with daily housekeeping. The hotel is slightly outside the city centre, but it’s only about a 20-minute bus ride, and there’s a bus stop conveniently located right in front of the hotel entrance. There’s also a supermarket and a bakery within walking distance, which was very convenient. Overall, a comfortable stay and definitely a good option if you’re looking for something affordable and well connected.

The room was spacious and had air conditioning and a nice large balcony. The bed was comfortable enough and the water pressure in the shower was good. There is street parking right in front of the hotel if you're renting a car (which I'd recommend), as well as a bus stop directly in front of the entrance if you want to travel by public transport. It's 20 minutes from Corfu Town by car.

The staff wasn't particularly friendly. There was no shower mat provided, so we had to ask for one. The first day, hot water wasn't working, but they fixed it shortly afterward. The fridge included in the room was extremely loud at times during the night. The room got very hot during the day, much hotter than the outside temperature (which was surprising given the high ceilings), but fortunately the AC helped mitigate it. The area around the hotel can be a bit rough at first impact, especially at night - we didn't have any problems, but just be aware that you will probably only be using this as a stop to drive somewhere else.
