Villa im Steinbusch is an old established hotel and the physical facilities are what one would expect. The room was an excellent size with a balcony. Everything very clean. The hotel itself had considerable character. The breakfast was excellent. It was mainly 'continental' (with a good range of high quality foods available) but a soft boil;ed egg was also offered (and was good!) Our host was outstanding. Spoke fluent English and had a wealth of information on sights to see not only in the Malente area but also at our next stop (Hamburg). The location is a very short walk from the train station, main street - and the lake (and ferries).

The physical facilities in the room were not the most modern - but they worked! Plenty of hot water in the shower. We both found the beds rather hard and uncomfortable.

Nice old style villa with comfortable rooms. Very friendly owners even gave me a choice of rooms when checking in .Also were nice enough to give me a morning coffee ,since I didnt take the breakfast option. Also good location ,close to train station and lakes.

Nice ancient house with 'character. Breakfast was very good. Staff was friendly and created a very nice atmosphere. Suggestions for sight-seeing and excursions were very helpful and provided useful information especially locals can give.

No complaint!
