Funky Fish Beach & Surf Resort

The place had potential. Good location for excursions. Most of the staff was honest, helpful and friendly and the food was better than expected.

The meal times were very strict, gave the feeling of a school dining room with everyone waiting for their plate. Even though we double confirmed our pick up from the mainland boat they were over 2 hours late and we needed the help from another resort to locate them. The more senior staff has some room for improvement.

Great for surfing - Staff made us an extra early breakfast every morning so we could surf early. Great location for surfing. Would come back.

Food portions could be bigger. Take snacks for your room if you are surfing lots and need to eat lots. Food was nice though, especially the fish curry.

Perfect location for surfers on a budget, it has all the amenities surfers need!

The one dock often had workers vessels, at least the end of the pontoon should remain clear for nose in, pickups and drop offs

This is a beautiful and cozy place right on the shore - from the bungalow to the water is literally 20 meters. Not bad food (although sometimes the portions were small and the breakfasts were quite modest). Everything is done very simply, but quite well-groomed.

The negative experience was when after arriving at Musket Cove (the final stop of the ferry) we had to wait over 1.5 hours for a boat from Funky Fish to pick us up (this is the only way to get there).My attempts to reach them by phone were futile — neither of their two numbers answered (the manager of Musket Cove also could not reach them after several attempts). The Funky Fish administration did not apologize for this, charging us the standard 16 USD per person for the transfer (only 3 km of the way!).
