Great hosts, great location, great food

The location was amazing, right next to a gorgeous river, safe parking for my bike, very friendly staff and all nice and clean. The main building was a traditional property and there are lodges in the grounds for guests too. The evening meal was a set menu as was the breakfast and it was very good indeed. We liked it here a lot, if you had your own food you could have it outside on one of the barbecue areas.

The bathroom was a little cramped but that`s all.

Nice people with great tips. The room was clean and super comfortable with a boxspring in the cabin. Got a faint glow from the Northern lights. Would definitely come back some day for more than one day.

Great environment in the middle of nature. Very nice kids features such as the trampoline. The exterior firewood are a must and definitely enhance the nights.

Everything was wonderful: The owners greeted us with friendly hospitality and moved between several languages effortlessly when speaking to various guests. Clearly they love what they do, especially guiding guests to the best hiking, etc. or taking them on guided hikes. The dinner and breakfast were absolutely amazing: fresh local food plated with aesthetic details. The breakfast was made to your liking with all kinds of choices. The dining room had long tables to share meals with another group or two and we shared ours with a friendly couple from Germany. The biggest test of the whole stay at Rondane River Lodge: our teenagers did not want to leave!

Nothing really. However, I am a picky sleeper in my middle age and prefer a few pillows. I am like the princess and the pea—goose down and soft is my pillow at home—given this, perhaps a couple more pillows for us might have helped. Of course, I did not ask for this, so they probably had some available.

A wonderful place. Perfect for discovering the beautiful surroundings. Welcoming staff eager to help wherever they can. Comfortable rooms and delicuous food.

Beautiful cabin in a great place

I stayed here only two nights, but definitely will back for longer next time. The staff are welcoming, food is delicious. Dinner is absolutely delicious and made as in Michelin ⭐️ ⭐️ restaurant. The owner offers a lot of activities in the nature, so you definitely will have what to do.

The owners were super helpful and friendly and gave us good tips on what to do around the area. The food was incredible. The breakfast one could select the night before and it was ready at the given time. The dinner was a 3 course meal and really delicious. We would recommend to have the dinner there. It is a lovely place in a beautiful area in Norway.

The room and bathroom were quite small, but didn't bother us too much.

Very cozy house with a fireplace. Nice living room in the main house, delicious dinner (paid extra for this), very helpful staff, board games. Nature.

The owners were very enthusiastic and genuine, really nice people. The cabins were fantastic with a nice view

the cabin is perfect and super cozy

since covid the need to bring your own bedsheets is uncomfortable, otherwise you have to pay for them.To that you add the cleaning fee, if you don't want to do it yourself. All these rise the price of the cabin to the price of a hotel room where you have all that included.

Everything is really cosy and beautiful, the room was nice with sufficient facilities and stuff. Location was also great!

They don't automatically provide you with sheets nor with cleaning of the room. If you don't have your own sheets and don't have time to clean in the morning when you check out (as there is a massive list of things including mopping the whole cabin) you get charged a large fee (about half a night's stay). The room is already not a cheap room and can't expect you have to do a full top down clean when you check out.
