We loved it here. Fredric is very friendly and helpful, and the apartment itself and location are unique and wonderfully atmospheric. The flat is in what was once a medieval granary, with a stunning wooden beamed ceiling, and is set on the square where the town was first founded around a spring (now a fountain) in the 9th century. The current building is later but still medieval, with a wonderful winding staircase. Everything is there to make your stay pleasant, including a super-comfortable bed, and we enjoyed hearing the medieval bells ringing the hours from the church next door (this stops at 10pm). A free car park is just a short walk away (Frederic will explain on the map). When arriving the satnav will take you into the old town down Rue de la republique, near the end of which you can park free for an hour (but don't exceed that to avoid a penalty). The apartment is a minute's walk away and you can meet Frederic and get unloaded before going on to the free car park by the Jardins du Plantier. It is poorly signed but just go up the little road next to the Jardins sign to find it. We always found a space there. Hope you enjoy your stay.

The location was perfect. It was easy to drop off luggage as it was so close to a car park and it was so easily walkable into the lovely town. It was perfectly situated. The architecture of the apartment and the beams make for an atmospheric stay.
The shower was very disappointing, very weak water pressure, and there was no bath plug so not possible to have a bath as an alternative.

Beautiful location in the heart of Sarlat. The apartment was clean, convenient, attractive, and had everything that I needed. The property owner was kind and helpful.
The location is in the heart of the medieval city so there is no parking nearby. All parking is outside of the city center. Not a bad thing but something to keep in mind when moving luggage.
