Lovely place, good location.

John is a wonderful host. Freshly baked shortbread and tarts were delicious and the property is a 2 minute walk to the center of town! The peaceful garden is a great place to enjoy your morning coffee.
The bed was very firm. I liked it, but my husband found it too hard.

John made us more than welcome and our room was spotless and so comfortable with everything you could need.Set in a great location a short walk from the centre.Thank you for a lovely relaxing break.

The location was beautiful, close to the town centre but quiet and peaceful. The room and bathroom was spacious and immaculate. John was a lovely host. A great place to relax.

Great little guest house two streets back from South street so perfectly located. Free parking is available on the road outside the guesthouse.

From the moment you walk through the yard, you are greeted with a quaint and beautiful setting within the town of St. Andrews. The host is personable and welcoming and obviously cares for his location. The area is safe and easy to locate - very central. Room and bathroom are so clean and comfortable and have nice touches.

the location was very pretty and quaint - off the high traffic area but easy to get to everything.
make sure to minimize luggage - rouge surfaces so rollers are not appropriate. we planned for this so it wasn’t an issue

The guest rooms were charming, with a beautiful garden and by a stream with ducks and ducklings. It was a lovely place to stay.

John's communication was brilliant. It was my partners 40th and he decorated the room for us as a suprise and provided prosecco for our arrival.
The location was excellent and the room was comfortable, clean and had everything that we needed. 100% Recommend to anyone. Thank you John for everything!

For anybody wanting to enjoy the real St Andrews experience without breaking the bank, this is the place to go. A beautiful traditional property at the heart of the town, with a really cool host that will do everything possible to make you feel home. I also recommend the place for short term visitors of the university, as the Spindle provides the perfect setting to plan your academic visit.

The location was perfectly situated: easy walking distance from our wedding venue but also on lovely walking paths which we enjoyed. The roomy lounge with snacks for breakfast was ideal. Couldn’t resist the Bakewell Tart. The sweetest of hosts.

Convenient location for the town centre, quiet and relaxing. The Spindle Guest House is spotlessly clean, beautifully presented and very welcoming. Our host, John, has thought of every need for his guests. Nothing is too much trouble. Excellent facilities and lovely atmosphere. We will definitely be returning.
