REMIGIU è una Casa Vacanze collocata all’interno di un antichissimo e piccolo Borgo, di nome Porciana, nel cuore del Parco Nazionale delle Cinqueterre, a 2 minuti di macchina dal Paese di Volastra nel Comune di Riomaggiore.
Il nome Remigiu o più semplicemente Piccolo Rè, rispecchia un po’ la località ovvero piccolo Regno di Remigiu.
Remigiu si affaccia con la sua terrazza panoramica davanti a Punta Mesco, dove si può assistere a spettacolosi tramonti, ed avere una visuale a 360° sul Golfo delle Cinqueterre.
Al suo interno potrete trovare, al primo piano una camera matrimoniale una cameretta con due letti ed il bagno grande, mentre al piano superiore cè un soggiorno molto accogliente e luminoso con un cucinino, un divano letto, ed il secondo bagno.
La struttura della casa conserva ancora i tratti e le caratteristiche di un rustico di campagna facendo però attenzione alle rifiniture ed alle decorazioni alle pareti il tutto elaborato con gusto e semplicità.
Gli ambienti di Casa Remigiu sono climatizzati e dotati e porte e finestre blindate. Compresa laTV satellitare.
Remigiu è collocata all’interno del Podere di Famiglia dove si possono trovare, l’orto, l’uliveto, le vigne ed il frutteto ancora coltivati con amore e dedizione.
Ubicato nel cuore del parco nazionale delle cinque terre,immerso nei vigneti, lungo il sentiero dei santuari con panorami mozzafiato! Totale vista mare!!

This was our second stay at this lovely place. An ideal base for hiking all the upper trails, well equipped for cooking, comfortable bed, cozy yet spacious, and that million-dollar view from the upstairs balcony... We loved everything about it! Caveats: there's no WiFi, so if you are attached to your phone, that may be a problem. And a car is a necessity, even if only for initial grocery shopping. It's a solid 20-minute walk to Volastra and closer to an hour of steep descent down to Corniglia, so there's no popping out for a quick espresso.

It was difficult to find. Directions were not explicit. Without a car the location made it difficult to enjoy the local villages after dark as we had to travel on part of the trail network to leave and then reach the property everyday. However the view was amazing and the property was very convenient to the trails.

Spectacular location and exceptional hosts. I will try to describe our amazing experience here. 10-15 walk outside Vernazza, right on the walking path between Manarola and Corniglia. With a car you park at the top and walk the steps down to the house. The view- can’t be beat. We enjoyed sitting out on the balcony in the morning with our coffee and at night with our wine. The house is well equipped and although we didn’t cook in the kitchen, it had a stovetop espresso maker which was perfect for us. We walked to manarola and back one day, next day walked to corniglia and then the train to the other 3 villages (2 couples- 50-65 years old) We had some rain but we still enjoyed our first visit to the region. Our visit was enhanced even more by the warm hospitality by the owner and her daughter that live below. She came up to get rid of a bees nest under the gutter on our balcony. Afterwards they gave us a tour of their hillside gardens and tasted so many delicious fruits and veggies. We returned with a basket full, including figs- our favorite! Thanks to her daughter and google translate we were able to overcome the language barrier. She invited us back for dinner and made us the best pesto, focaccia and dessert. A true Ligurian culinary delight! Their kindness and generosity were the highlight of our trip and will never be forgotten. We truly felt like family

The house is very difficult to get to as the local taxis are constantly overbooked - we had to rely on the landlady's family to take us to and from Manarola where we had a long walk to and from the station as cars are not allowed in the village. Also, it's down a series of steep steps so not accessible to anyone with any kind of mobility problem. And the nearest restaurant and shop are in Volastra, a 20-mn walk away by road, longer via the steep cliff-side trail.
The trail to Corniglia goes right through the property, so it's not as quiet as it could be during the day when hordes of tourists traipse past and stop for photo ops or to ask directions.
The garden is beautiful and lovingly tended, with a cherry tree and a mimosa giving welcome shade, filled with the scents of jasmine and roses.
The sea view from the terrace is amazing.
There is very little in the house: coffee and salt, not even a kettle. The shower has enough hot water for one person per day. So it's clean and charming but pretty basic.
