Lutecia Smart Design Hotel

The hotel was very clean, modern and well maintained. Although the air-conditioning in our first room was not working properly, the staff quickly changed our room and handled the situation efficiently. I especially want to mention the gentleman at reception with curly hair he helped us with our luggage and solved several issues for us. His service really made our overall experience much better.

The property itself is quite basic and nothing particularly special. I was also disappointed before my stay because I accidentally booked the wrong dates and contacted the hotel within about an hour, but they were not willing to make any changes. That gave me a negative first impression, although the actual stay turned out to be much better than expected.

​Nice hotel! Nice rooms, modern minimalist design with everything you need. Comfortable beds, a nice balcony and breakfast were great with mix of warm and cold dishes, several juices, muesli, yogurt, and fresh fruit. The location is a bit far from the center, but easy to find Uber here, and near Roma Train station.

Staff response to open connecting rooms door is very slow, after 20min request and after 2x called, finally have someone coming to open the door. Maybe short of staff.

The hotel personnel were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. That’s about it.

However, the hotel itself has definitely seen its best days. We were upgraded to the suite which was nice, only to find a suite that had ripped wallpapers, mold in the bathroom and just overall lacked taste and comfort. Not the fault of the hotel staff but certainly smth that management needs to address. The location is okay, but not great. Right in front of the building are train tracks which result in terrible train traffic noise at night. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.
