Hotel Palais26 is an absolute gem of a hotel in the heart of Villach Old Town. Our room was extremely clean and very comfortable and the receptionist kindly provided a kettle and cups for our morning coffee. The location is perfect with a wonderful restaurant within the hotel. All key tourists sites are within easy walking distance and the train and bus station only a 7 min walk away. I highly recommend Hotel Palais26 to anyone wanting a perfect hotel right in the center of Villach. .

The hotel and room were so beautiful and it felt like we were staying in a castle.
Not much privacy when using the bathroom as I wouldn’t really call what they had a bathroom! There was a shower and a vanity outside that could be seen from the beds so couldn’t get changed with privacy. The toilet was separate which was ok,

Centrally located to the city. Easy to walk around to different places. Facility looks modern and updated. Dog friendly and there is breakfast at the hotel if desired.
Following check in we determined that our futon had dirty sheets and pillows. There was even used tissue within them. Immediately we went to reception about a change of sheets and we were met with animosity over having indicated only one adult and one child as opposed to two adults and one child. While I admit we somehow missed this. It does not justify why we only had two changes of sheets and not extra. This is absolutely unacceptable a room should be thoroughly cleaned upon the departure of all guests. Especially with note to used bedding.
