Hotel Villa Maya

Anche solo per una sola notte la struttura ci ha incantato per la completa tranquillità del luogo che immerso nella campagna ci ha permesso un soggiorno molto riposante. La struttura di un vecchio maniero, il grande parco, le camere spaziose con i soffitti con travi a vista, le parti più intime come la piccola chiesetta rispettano gli ambienti dell'epoca con tutte le comodità attuali permettendo di essere immersi in un'atmosfera suggestiva del passato. Staff attento è premuroso per dare la migliore sistemazione per la camera e i servizi a disposizione. Complimenti alla bravissima Chef Susy per l'uso di prodotti del luogo con un'ottima cucina tradizionale e attenzione alla sostenibilità. Luogo consigliatissimo sicuramente da tornarci

La mancanza di un ascensore che porta alle camere obbliga a salire le scale con i bagagli.

Beautiful hotel with character off the beaten track … you really need a car to stay here. Room was clean, bed comfortable and a lovely pool to laze by. Breakfast was outstanding.

Although it felt like we were in the countryside, there was a very busy road nearby so traffic noise. Restaurant was closed the night we stayed so had to drive into Cascina (7-10 minutes). Breakfast was spectacular, once we found it! Breakfast room was lovely but no visible sign of buffet so we sat and waited for someone and the lady walked past us numerous times! Buffet is through door in top right corner of breakfast room if you stay here. 😂

A very good breakfast, with plenty of choice. But 9.30am is the cut off point otherwise you must pay for it, even though you booked B&B. A beautiful place to stay but look out for the restaurant and exterior bar hours, as they seem to vary.

More regular restaurant and bar hours as we had to drive 5 kms into town for food and drinks. Both were closed from around 6.00 pm onwards on our one night stay. Maybe just bad timing on our behalf ?

We chose Villa Maya as we wanted to stay in a more traditional hotel and it was close to Pisa airport. Our stay was unremarkable.

Although the building is lovely with authentic furnishings inside, its large garden surroundings are poorly maintained. Outside seating needed a good dust down before we could sit and there was a shabby feel generally. The receptionist was not at all welcoming, our room was clean and comfortable, although dark and small. We had to open the shutters in order to get some natural light to illuminate the room which meant it was quite noisy as opened straight on to the arrival area. The restaurant was the biggest disappointment - definitely style over substance. The claim that dishes weren't available due to having hosted a wedding sampling event was unacceptable - dishes should have been taken off the menu. Breakfast was not available early in the morning, so we had to miss it due to leaving for the airport. Will not return!
