Hotel Palazzo Papaleo

It was in a great location and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

I would have liked a more savoury breakfast.

Location, welcome at the front desk, room, roof terrace and dinner at the restaurant.

Breakfast was very disappointing.

The staff was the best, Patricia and Manuel were super nice and attentive. The room was big and the balcony had a view to the ocean.

The breakfast wasn’t as good as expected for a 5 star accommodation, you had to pay extra if you wanted pancakes or some type of eggs. The bar at the top was closed most of the time and wasn’t really available when needed. The restaurant was average and the service was very slow, we had to wait at least 40 mins between primi and secondi. The hotel announces to have a spa and wellness but when I was there I found out that I had to book at least 48 hours in advance.

Fantastic location within the old town. The breakfast was good, varied. The staff were absolutely wonderful; very friendly, accommodating, helpful.

The Palazzo itself is looking tired. We stayed in the 'Suite' the first night, and the room is very unimpressive. Except for the beautifully painted ceiling, the furnishings in the room were a hodgepodge of aged and unique pieces and ugly 70's vibe decor. Having said that, our son stayed in a cheerful single room with a lovely terrace. The entrance to the hotel is nondescript. The Palazzo is supposedly a 5-Star accommodation, but it doesn't have a gym or pool, and it could desperately use an interior designer's help.
