beautiful building with view

I loved the castle feel! beautiful and close to ferry to go to portofino

it was a long walk and uphill walk with the bags to the hotel from the train station and a taxi is 25 euro. that was a tough travel expensive because it’s only a 2 minute drive. but still the place is breathtaking.

Lovely staff very helpful

It is very high up the hill, so if your mobility is not the best it can be a problem, though great views, a taxi back up is a min of 20 e in the town. 35 e back from Rapello which is only 2 miles away.

bathroom height was 1m 80 centimeters on some places. This is too low for me. Small room with little place for a bag.

Not real comforters on the bed

Very easy to walk into town, Santa Margherita Ligure. Easy access for walks through the park to Portofino. Parking available at the hotel. Reception staff spoke English and were very helpful.

The building was a stunning italianate villa. I had a single room with it's own front door and terrace on the bottom front left corner of the building. It was a bonus to have a fridge. The reception area was very grand and you could go upstairs to 2 rooftop terraces to look at the view or sunbathe. Good wifi and buffet breakfast. Staff very friendly. Easy walk down into town and the port to catch a boat to Portofino. Took longer on the way back uphill.

The driveway is very steep and bendy to the parking area. The internal walls on the single annex room are thin so you hear talking and TVs from other rooms. The old fashioned plumbing system hisses and drips all night.

The listing mentioned a laundry service but there was none. No problem

Lovely view over the town and seafront from the balcony. Interesting property, with extensive gardens perfect for children to explore. Delicious breakfast buffet, well worth the extra money. Felt like staying in a country house.

Noise from motorbikes on the road below very irritating during the night. Would have liked the option to buy drinks and snacks from the hotel reception as there are lots of lovely places to sit and relax in the grounds, and it is a 15 minute walk to get to town.
